Privacy Policy

Version 2026-10-16 · last updated 16 October 2026

FamleeTime is for families, so your family's photos, videos and stories are private to the families you belong to. This page says what we keep, who can see it and who helps us run the service. We don't sell your information, we don't show ads, and we don't use analytics or advertising trackers.

What we keep

  • Your account. Your name, email address and time zone. Your password is handled by Google's Firebase Authentication; we never see it.
  • Your profile and your family. What you or other members enter: names, birth and other dates, photos, relationships, notes and custom fields. Members can create profiles for relatives who don't have accounts, including children, so a profile can describe someone who never signed up.
  • What you share. Posts, pictures and videos, recipes, comments, loves, boops, traditions, and calendar requests.
  • Families and membership. Which families you belong to, whether you are an owner, invitations and join requests.
  • Your settings and safety choices. Your default family, the members you have blocked, and the reports you send.
  • Calendars, if you connect one. A Google or Zoom connection lets FamleeTime read your availability and add events you agree to. We keep the access tokens Google or Zoom give us, encrypted, and remove them when you disconnect or delete your account.
  • Payment, for family owners. Stripe takes your card details; we never see them. We keep the Stripe customer and subscription details, the plan, and how much storage a family uses.
  • The waitlist. If you join the waitlist we keep your email address and which page you came from, until you unsubscribe.
  • Technical data. Our servers log requests (such as time, page and error) to keep the service running and secure. The mobile apps send crash reports (what failed, and the device model and operating system version) through Firebase Crashlytics, and nothing else.

Who can see it

  • Your posts, comments and profile are visible to the members of the families you belong to, and to no one else. A family's owners can also remove content from their family.
  • Members you block are hidden from you, and they are not told.
  • When you report content, our support team sees the report, who sent it and the content reported.
  • Our team can look at data to run the service, handle reports, and fix problems. We only do so when needed.
  • We share information when the law requires it, or to protect someone from serious harm, such as reporting child sexual abuse material to the authorities.

Who helps us run it

We use these services, and they handle your information only to provide them to us:

  • Google Cloud and Firebase: hosting, the database (Firestore), sign-in (Firebase Authentication) and crash reports (Crashlytics).
  • Cloudflare R2: storage for photos and videos.
  • Stripe: payments for family plans.
  • Resend: sending email, such as invitations and password resets.
  • Google Calendar and Zoom: only if you connect them.

These providers may keep data in the United States and other countries.

Cookies

FamleeTime uses one cookie, to keep you signed in (for up to 14 days, or until you log out). It isn't used for tracking or advertising. The mobile apps show the same pages and use the same cookie.

Children

You must be at least 13 to have an account. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger through an account; if we learn that we have, we delete it. Parents and guardians can add a child to their family as a profile (see the Terms). To have a child's profile corrected or removed, contact us through the support page.

Keeping and deleting

  • We keep your information while your account is open.
  • You can delete your account yourself: Settings (in the app, More) → Delete account (steps, and what is kept). You choose whether your posts, photos, videos and comments stay with your families or are deleted for good. When you choose to delete them, we delete them and the files stored for them, along with your profile and calendar connections.
  • Content you chose to leave with your families stays with them. Comments on a post go when the post does.
  • Reports about content are kept so we can enforce the Terms.
  • When you delete your account, your blocks (and other members' blocks of you) are deleted, and so are the reports you sent that we have dealt with and every report about your own posts, comments and profile. A report you sent that we haven't reviewed yet, about something still on FamleeTime, is kept so we can review it, without your name or your note. When you only deactivate, your blocks and reports stay as they are.
  • Deleted data may remain in our backups for a limited time before it is overwritten.

Your choices

  • You can edit your profile and delete your own posts and comments at any time.
  • You can disconnect a calendar from Integrations.
  • You can ask to see, correct or take a copy of your information by contacting us through the support page.

Security

Everything travels over an encrypted connection, passwords are handled by Firebase, and calendar tokens are encrypted when stored. No service is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the version above and ask you to accept it again before you post.
